Campermattress.com is the Internet subsidiary of Page Foam Cushioned Products. Campermattress.com was founded by Tim Page in 2004 after he saw a need for quality replacement cushions and mattresses for the travel trailer industry. For over 35 years the Page family has been manufacturing mattresses and cushions for the travel trailer industry and we decided it was time to start offering our product directly to the public as the camping hobby continues to grow.
Page Foam Cushioned Products, located at 850 Eisenhower Boulevard, Johnstown, PA 15904, manufactures foam cushions and mattresses for the camper and RV industry. We also manufacture mattresses and boxsprings for home, hotel/motel, hospital, camp, and institutional use.
In 1947, Page Foam Cushioned Products, then named C. H. Page Bedding Company, was started by Cloyd H. Page in partnership with two other gentlemen. The original factory was located in the Hornerstown area of Johnstown, PA and employed approximately 12 people. Cloyd had acquired his mattress-making experience while working for the National Mattress Company, also located in Johnstown before embarking on his own venture. He took care of all the bookkeeping and sales for the company while the two partners worked in production.
During the 1950s and 1960s, C. H. Page Bedding manufactured mattresses for Ther-A-Pedic, and later for Spring Air. By having name brand recognition, the company was able to sustain sales growth, increase production, and add employees to accommodate the increasing need for products.
In 1966, Cloyd and his partners dissolved the original C. H. Page Bedding Company and he started a new company called Page Foam Cushioned Products Company. Located in another building in the Hornerstown area, his focus was manufacturing foam cushions and mattresses for the recreational vehicle industry and to supply mattresses to camps, nursing homes, and colleges. Page Foam Cushioned Products first RV account was Serro Scott located in Irwin, PA. In 1968, Cloyd obtained Fleetwood Enterprises business located in Winchester, VA. To this day we still manufacture cushions for part of Fleetwood Enterprises motorhome division on the east coast and other smaller travel trailer companies. During the late 1960s, Cloyd's son, Walter, would come home from college on weekends to stuff cushions and load trailers for delivery.
During the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s we continued to grow with Fleetwood Enterprises while also doing work for other RV manufacturers such as Colman Camping Trailers and the former Sunline Coach Company.
In 1977, Cloyd Page suffered a stroke and was unable to continue directing his company. He retired in 1978 naming Walter president of the Hornerstown location. Under Walter's direction, Page Foam Cushioned Products has continued to grow in both the RV industry and Factory Direct Bedding Industry.
During the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s we continued to grow with Fleetwood Enterprises while also doing work for other RV manufacturers such as Sunline Coach Company and Colman Camping Trailers now knows as Fleetwood Folding Trailers.
In August 1990, Page Bedding Company moved into a newly constructed 30,000-square-foot facility located in the Richland Township area of Johnstown. It now appears that the family business will continue to grow as Cloyd Page's grandchildren are already involved in the company operations. Tim is the Purchasing Manager and Alison is currently taking care of the day-to-day Human Resources functions. Also, we are currently adding an additional 10,000 square feet of warehouse space at our current location in Richland Township, in hopes of expanding the production area in our current building.
Page Bedding Company has dedicated itself to manufacturing quality products in the Johnstown area for over 50 years and is prepared to serve you, our valued customer.
